Shooting in der Skulpturhalle Basel
Our first photo shoot took place on a Saturday in October in the Skulpturenhalle of the Museum of Antiquities in Basel.Â
"The Skulpturhalle Basel is a museum for replicas of antique sculptures affiliated to the Museum of Antiquities, which looks back on 125 years of history in its anniversary year 2012. With some 2200 casts of statues, heads and reliefs, the Skulpturhalle is not only the largest collection of casts in Switzerland, but also one of the most important in the world. The plaster casts of Greek and Roman masterpieces offer the opportunity to view and compare the sculptures stored in various museums around the world at close range from all sides."
We were very pleased, the museum management decided to give us space and room for the shooting. The scenery was impressive and we can recommend everyone to have a look at the sculpture hall. Miriam Elias was our photographer, one of our designers acted as stylist and Lisa NG our chosen model. Everybody did a fantastic job. The day was demanding. The light had to be right for every shot, outfits were changed, scenes were discussed. A great first shooting for TGIFW - many more will follow.
