Wie begeistern wir mehr junge Menschen für faire Mode?
On Saturday, 16 March, a Social Hackathon was held at ETH Zurich.
Social Entrepreneurs, who are all members of Capacity - including us - and ETH students took a day to explore various questions and challenges of Social Entrepreneurs.
Tashi from TGIFW asked the students the question of how to get more people and especially the Millennials excited about fair fashion ... The students quickly agreed. Fair fashion is simply far too little visible. Fair fashion is hardly to be found in shopping streets, not among the big influencers, not in advertising and generally far too little on social media. Buying fashion has to be easy - one click, one look, one purchase - if you're looking for something fairly produced, you have to search for a long time ... today's young people are hardly prepared to do that. The students think that there is no big platform for fair fashion (although there are platforms such as getchanged), just that - they are far too little known).
Vegan is hip, organic as well ... fair fashion still must become ...
Many exciting ideas followed, how fair fashion can become more popular. The students see a strong presence on social media as a must to make fair fashion a topic. Every brand should have a social media and sales manager who is only concerned with brand awareness and sales. And every brand needs enthusiastic customers, who in turn promote the brand.
All a question of branding and social media? We are curious what you think about it.
